Who are we?
Welcome to Emmanuel Lutheran church, Toronto. Here you can hear the Word and join the heart-felt worship. Here you will meet friendly people. We provide compassionate care to Luther manor and our community.
We are a multi-cultural congregation with members of all ages. We are a small but welcoming community. We are called to bring people to Jesus Christ and membership in his family; develop them to Christlike maturity; and equip them for their ministry in the church, and life mission in the world; in order to magnify Christ's name.
The church office can be reached by email at elchurch@live.ca or by phone at 647-347-1340
Every Sunday we hold a service of Holy Communion at 10am. When pandemic restrictions are eased, we hope to resume our coffee hour that follows the service.
We are located at 1684 Victoria Park Avenue between Lawrence Ave. and Eglinton Ave. and are accessible by TTC.
Our building is wheelchair accessible.
An enclosed nursery is provided within the sanctuary with windows and speakers. Unfortunately, due to COVID protocols, this nursery room is currently closed.
OUR VISION STATEMENT
To bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christlike maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church, and life mission in the world, in order to magnify Christ’s name.
10 VALUES OF OUR CHURCH
1.We teach God’s Word in the knowledge that it brings forth changes in individual’s lives and in the church.
2.Lost people (people who do not have a personal, ongoing, and loving relationship with God and with His Son Jesus Christ) matter to God, and therefore, matter to us.
3.We strive to be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure.
4.As followers of Jesus Christ we believe we should manifest authenticity and yearn for continuous growth.
5.We operate as a unified community of servants with men and women stewarding their spiritual gifts.
6.Loving relationships permeate every aspect of our life together.
7.Life-changing happens best in the small groups we offer where growth, fellowship, and sharing take place in an informal setting.
8.We strive for excellence because it honors God and inspires people.
9.Our church is led by men and women with leadership gifts.
10.It is our understanding that the pursuit of full devotion to Christ and His cause is normal for every believer.
